Porn Star Charlie LaTour was for some time a stalwart of the erotic entertainment scene, still going for bawdy broke well after most of her contemporaries had long since retired. She was the very definition of the over-sexed older woman, a lust-driven nympho who would take on any man or woman on her way to fulfilling her wild sexual desires. Charlie LaTour had a butch look about her, with close-cropped red hair and the thick figure and ribald leer of a biker mama. Charlie LaTour first hit hardcore screens in 1983 and quickly became a favorite among producers and fans alike due to her do-anything good nature. Among her best early flicks is the 1985 Henri Pachard feature 'Lilith Unleashed,' in which Charlie LaTour merrily romped her way through a torrid threesome with Paul Thomas and Paula Meadows. She returned later on to tryst her way through another triad, this time with Ron Jeremy and Tasha Voux. Both scenes sparkled with pure passion and enthusiastic erotic energy.
Over the next few years, Charlie LaTour became a well-known performer, appearing in lots of video quickies like 'Long Hard Nights,' 'Make Me Feel It' and 'White Hot,' in which she delved into a delirious DP scorcher. It didn't take long for Charlie LaTour to decide to try her luck behind the cameras, as well. She produced her first film, 'Confessions of a Middle-Aged Nympho' under the pseudonym Howard Robinson in 1986.
Charlie LaTour soon started her own production company -- Latour Productions -- and wrote and directed some of the most highly regarded porn to come out of the East Coast during the next ten years. Charlie LaTour's goal was to stress a positive female image of sexuality through her films, and always showed female characters who took control of their own lives and sexual needs.
Charlie LaTour appeared in almost twenty hardcore films during her stint in the business, finally making her last hardcore outing in 1995. Charlie LaTour's main focus these days is on her bi-monthly erotic journal, the Latour Letter. She continues to be an outspoken advocate for erotica and women's rights.
